Yet ANOTHER reminder of the importance of having a home inventory!

home inventory Feb 09, 2023

We woke up yesterday to the very tragic news that our neighbor's home was on fire. Thankfully, the family made it out safely.

As you can imagine, this will change their lives forever.

I know I sound like a broken record, but having this hit so close to home I want to reiterate the importance of having a home inventory.

If you know anyone impacted by the Marshall Fire, you probably have heard how surprisingly difficult it is to work with insurance companies. You don't realize all the information you need to provide until you've lost everything and can't even go home. So many victims STILL have not been reimbursed even a year later.

Having a record of your belongings could save you hundreds of hours in time and stress later. You will already have more things to navigate than you can possibly imagine and this could take one huge stressor off your plate.

So, I will continue to encourage you to get your home inventory done because I don't ever want you to experience the heartache of fighting for what you deserve if, God forbid, you ever experience loss or damage to your home.

I have been blessed to teach this class in person for over a year in local communities and now have it available online because I am so passionate that EVERYONE needs a home inventory, regardless of how old you are, where you live or how much stuff you have!

All the best,
Melissa
